Choosing a finish: chrome, matte black, gold and the warm metallics

Eleven finishes across the collection. How to choose one, combine several and keep them looking new.

The finish is the detail people notice first. It sets the tone of a bathroom as clearly as the stone or the light, and it has to work across every piece in the room.

The palette

Across the ASPEN collection you will find eleven finish codes: CP, MB, GD, NB, BG, AN, RGM, BN, WH, MGY and AG. Not every product is made in every finish, so it helps to check availability early. You can see the full palette, with the number of products in each finish, on our Finishes page.

Chrome (CP)

Chrome is the most widely available finish in the collection. It is bright, reflective and timeless, and it suits both white and stone bathrooms.

Matte black (MB)

Matte black draws clean lines against light walls and gives a graphic, contemporary look. It works particularly well with concealed mixers, where the panel becomes a deliberate dark rectangle or circle.

Gold (GD) and the warm metallics

Gold and the warmer metallic finishes bring depth to sand, travertine and oak. They are at their best in rooms with natural light, where the surface changes softly through the day.

Combining finishes

  • One metal per zone. Keep mixers, outlets and the flush plate in the same finish within one area.
  • Ceramic in white. Basins and toilets in WH let the metal finish lead.
  • A dark accent. A matte black or matte grey piece can anchor a light room, but use it with intention.

Care

Clean all finishes with a soft cloth, water and a mild soap, then dry them. Avoid abrasive pads, powders and acid or chlorine-based cleaners, which can damage any surface over time.

Screens show colours differently from real surfaces. If you are choosing between two finishes, ask us for a sample.
